I spent over a decade trying to fix my skin. Then I stopped looking for the answer — and started making it.”
The Real Story
My name is Martha. I’m the founder of NatureGlow Skincare, and I want to tell you the version of this story that most brand pages leave out.
I’ve had hormonal acne since my early twenties. In my late twenties, I developed severe melasma — triggered suddenly by a contraceptive patch — that altered the way I looked and felt about my own face. I spent over ten years trying to address it. I tried every over-the-counter remedy I could find. Nothing made a meaningful difference. I looked into stronger treatments and found myself more frightened of the side effects than the condition itself.
I have rosacea. I have chronically dry, reactive skin that responds badly to cold weather, to certain foods, and to the majority of mainstream skincare — including a great deal of products marketed specifically as gentle, natural, or suitable for sensitive skin. The burning, the flaring, the redness — I know exactly what those feel like, because I’ve lived with them for years.
For a long time, I assumed this was simply my skin. Something to manage. Something to work around.
I was wrong.
The Turning Point
The change began when I stopped trying to find the right product and started understanding why my skin was behaving the way it was.
Skin barrier science changed everything. I began to understand that the reactivity, the fluctuating dryness, the sensitivity to ingredients that others tolerated easily — these were symptoms of a compromised barrier, not an irreparably difficult skin type. And I began to understand that many of the products I’d been using, including ones labelled natural and gentle, were actively making that worse.
I started formulating. Carefully, methodically, with botanical ingredients chosen for their evidence-based ability to calm inflammation, restore barrier function, and support even the most reactive skin without fragrance, without alcohol, without compromise.
The results on my own skin were transformative. Not overnight. But real, consistent, and lasting.
And then something unexpected started happening. Strangers began stopping me — at markets, in the village, in passing — to ask about my complexion. They used the same two words, again and again.
Radiant. Glowing.
I had spent over a decade trying to feel that way about my own skin. I hadn’t expected anyone else to notice first.
Why NatureGlow Exists
NatureGlow Skincare launched in February 2026 from Great Longstone, in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District.
Every product is vegan, cruelty-free, and fully CPSR-compliant — formulated in small batches with botanical ingredients chosen for their ability to support sensitive, reactive, and redness-prone skin. The range is built without synthetic fragrance, without harsh actives, and without ingredients included for marketing appeal rather than genuine benefit.
The response from the community has been immediate. Customers with rosacea, eczema, melasma, and ultra-sensitive skin have found something they trust. A woman experiencing a rosacea flare at one of our local markets tried our Barrier Repair Rescue Balm. She came back two hours later to buy it — it had already begun to calm her skin.
That moment is why NatureGlow exists.
Who This Is For
NatureGlow is not built for everyone. It is built for the people who have tried everything else.
For the woman who has spent years cycling through products that promise gentleness and deliver irritation. For the person who has been told their skin is just difficult. For anyone who has almost given up on finding something they can finally trust.
Your skin is not the problem. The products have been.
“I made NatureGlow because my skin had enough. And I suspected yours had too.”
— Martha, Founder, NatureGlow Skincare
